Here is the begining of the song I’m waiting for the man:

I’m waiting for my man
26 dollars in my hand
Up to Lexington, 125

Lou Reed used to come around to buy drugs. East 125 has been renamed Dr Martin Luther King Jr boulevard. I took this picture in the station. Tens of cops were waiting around. No cops outside. When I took a picture of the cross road signs for the book, a guy came to me asking questions but I could not understand him because of his accent. I don’t know if he was asking me:

Hey white boy, what you doin’ uptown?
Hey white boy, you chasin’ my women around

I left without delay.

Patrick L’Ecolier has sent me another picture of the station. Thanks Patrick!
